Vancouver Alternative Fashion Week[End]

November 23-24 was an amazing weekend full of music, fashion, and art . . . VALT. The Ironworks provided the artistic and cultural community of Vancouver with a dark and enchanting atmosphere, well suited to the three evenings’ themes: Decadence, Defiance, and Delight. From the wild guests to the enthusiastic volunteers, artistic performers, gorgeous models, and delightful fashion designers, a fantastically, wonderful time was experienced by all. Dancers and musicians entertained the throngs with their spirited acts in between the eclectic fashion shows. The goal of VALT was to “provide Vancouver's explosive fashion scene an alternative to the larger and more commercial runway shows of Vancouver”. VALT's mission is “to provide a cultural alternative to the traditional fashion and gallery experience, to celebrate and promote the creativity of unrecognized artists, musicians, and designers, and to nurture and promote the arts and fashion itself”.
